Peter Stirling

Operations Director

Pete has spent the last 40 years working in the marine industry accumulating an impressive array of experience, skills and qualifications including MCA STCW95 - Master Yacht <3000 GT and Master Code Vessels <200 GT. Pete is the man on the ground (or even water!) dealing with clients and contractors face to face.

Pete’s experience includes: 

Antarctica

  • Boatman stationed on Signy Island marine base for the British Antarctic Survey for two years

Refit management

  • Supervised comprehensive refits on power and sail vessels up to 106 feet in a number of boatyards around the world

Large private and charter yachts

  • Skipper on sail and power vessels up to 106 feet in length for ten years

Yacht deliveries

  • Over 250,000 miles logged all over the world on sail and power vessels up to 82 feet in length 

Yacht racing skipper / tactician

  • Numerous RORC races, Cowes Week and Round the Island race

  • Swan European Cup Regattas x2

  • Swan World Cup Regatta x1

  • Fastnet campaigns x4

  • Round Britain and Ireland Race x1

  • Clipper Round the World Races x2

Corporate sailing events

  • Both organising and skippering various events in and around the Solent

Sailing instruction

  • Practical sailing and navigation instruction up to RYA Yachtmaster Ocean level, specializing in new boat owners’ tuition

Su Stirling

Admin & Finance Director

Su has spent over 30 years working in business management and finance for a number of large organisations.  She is the back bone of the company keeping everything running smoothly in the background. Her attributes include great  organisational skills for event planning, marketing, financial and office management as well as the point of contact for most enquiries.

Su’s experience includes: 

Finance

  • Covering various ledgers, including liaising with stakeholders on business transactions

  • Payroll

  • Financial accounts

  • Management accounts

  • Year-end accounts

Administration

  • Office manager overseeing a large accounts team

  • Co-ordinating the smooth internal running of the office

Corporate sailing events

  • Organising various events in and around the Solent both on and off the water

  • Organising events to raise money for various charities.

  • Arranging the charter of spectator boats for the London, Hull and Sydney race starts for the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
