    If you don’t intend to go sailing for a prolonged period, then you should remove your sails and store them in a dry place. Otherwise, mould or mildew will grow on them which is very difficult to remove.

    Anodes should corrode away. If they aren’t, then something else is so you should have your electrical earth system checked.

    Your winches should be serviced at least once a year. They should also be kept covered when not in use to prevent rainwater getting inside, which in turn will extend their service life
